Petaluma Hometown Engagement :: Korinne + Scott

Korinne & Scott met at a mutual friend’s party. He noticed her instantly, but kept everything casual. Eventually during the evening, they chatted up a bit and within weeks, they were becoming pretty good friends. It was when Korinne was moving to Hawaii for a year when the two realized they shared the “more-than-friends” feeling for one another, but never acted on it. But the year flew by quickly and the two picked up right where they took off when she moved back……except this time, feelings rushed in stronger than before and they gave the relationship thing a shot! Well, here they are, six years later, engaged and excited to spend the rest of their lives with each other.

The couple are set to get married later this year and I can’t WAIT to document the day. We headed out to the outskirts of Petaluma for their engagement shoot and we were lucky to have perfect weather. Here are some favorites from the afternoon. {Hair & Makeup by Raina Rombeiro}

Korinne & Scott, thank you for spending the afternoon with me. I cannot even being to express my excitement for the two of you. The love you share for one another is priceless and its such a honor to be working with the two of you. xo Jihan

Geyserville Engagement {Trentadue Winery/ Clos du Bois Winery Train Tracks} :: Haydee + Kenny

There was immediate attraction. Haydee was out on the town with her girlfriends when they were approached by a group of guys.  Kenny was among one of them and quickly, he noticed Haydee. The two mingled a bit, struck up a conversation and instantly, there was something there.  Even though the night ended quickly, the two exchanged numbers and found themselves on their first date within the next week. And from there, the two were inseparable.

Haydee & Kenny will be exchanging their “I do’s” later this year and I was SO happy to spend the afternoon with them during their engagement shoot. Kenny operates trains, and it being a big part of his family history, we decided to head up north to the train tracks that connect between Trentadue Winery & Clos du Bois. Here are some favorites from their amazing session!! {Hair and makeup by Raina Rombeiro}

Downtown Petaluma Engagement :: Kelly + Jeremy

Personally, I don’t believe you need much time to fall in love. It could happen in a month, it could happen in a week or simply in a day. The connection was instant between Kelly & Jeremy. They dated for a short period before Jeremy got down on one knee and asked Kelly to spend the rest of her life with him.

I had the chance to spend the afternoon with the two for their engagement shoot. We stay local in Petaluma and considering how incredibly cold & windy it was, the two rocked their session like champs! Here are some favorites. Enjoy! {Makeup by Raina Rombeiro}

Happy Monday!

Saint Vincent School for Boys Engagement :: Laura + Thomas

Sweet, young, love. Its truly a beautiful thing. And for me, it always brings me back to my early days with Joe when I photograph those couples. And that’s what I see in Laura & Thomas. The two are seriously the sweetest individuals you will ever meet! And the love the share for one another simply radiates! You can just tell from the way they look at one another, the way he holds her hands and the way she snuggles into him. And the couple couldn’t have picked a better location to show off their love during their engagement shoot! Here are some favorites from their session last week. {Hair & makeup by Raina Rombeiro}

Laura & Thomas, thank you SO much for having me document such an important time. I cannot even begin to express how honored I am to have met the two of you and the wedding can’t come soon enough! Truly looking for to capturing the big day. xoxo Jihan

Fairfax {Bon Tempe} Engagement :: Kelly + Chris

You know that feeling you get when you know you can’t live without someone? At least that’s the history between Kelly & Chris. The duo were good friends in high school and decided to take their friendship to the next level. They shared so many incredible memories, stories and were simply enjoying each others company. Sadly, while attending college, the two decided it was best to take a break….. a six-month-too-long break.

So, when the two reconnected, Kelly realized Chris was the ying to her yang, the peanut butter to her jelly, the love of her life and she wanted the spend the rest of her life with him. After a couple more years of dating, Chris got down on one knee and popped the question…..and of course, she said YES!

I’m excited to be photographing their wedding later this year, but I had the absolute honor of meeting the couple for the first time for their engagement shoot. We ventured out to Bon Tempe State Park in Fairfax and I must say, I’m in total awe of the two. {Of course, many thanks to the ever-SO-fabulous, Raina Rombeiro, for the hair and makeup}

Happy Thursday!
